Hi to all!

Just discovered this great site and read through many posts....however....

One topic I haven't found discussed is that of heavy metal residues in human manure, that would NOT be welcome on my organic vege/fruit garden!

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Shax

If you have heavy metals in your manure you are a sick man and should seek medical attention.

Does anyone know of any study of the amount of heavy metals in average humanure?

There should be little or no heavy metals in human manure, unless you're eating heavy metals, which you should not be. The heavy metals in sewage come from used motor oil, and all the other toxic crap that's dumped down drains.

Most metals in septage and sludge come from the plumbing lines themselves.

If you are concerned about the heavy metals (and other unappealing substances), I would recommend adopting a diet (such as an RVAF diet) that will detoxify your body's accumlation of them. Then after detoxing for at least three years, start using your humanure in the organic garden. In the meantime, use the (humanure) compost for horticultural purposes.

Peace
