Hi Alejandro,

As long as you put a good "bio-sponge" on the bottom (e.g. 12-18 inches of hay) and always keep the fresh additions in the center with plenty of cover material around the edges, seepage shouldn't be a problem. This assumes average rainfall and that your compost bin are well out of the stream bed so as not to be effected by high water during a "gully washer".

All the best,

Wayne

The other question I have come up with is how can I avoid composting pile's fluids go to water sources? I have 2 little water streams and I am not sure what to put or how at the bottom of the pile.
Thanks a lot!
Alejandro
