How about starting a humanure church. we worship our compost pile (or the earth, or the creator of the earth). our 5 gallon buckets are our chalices which administer the sacrament everytime we make our deposits :)

My pile is only one way that I show respect to the Earth.
I'm not much of a worshoper, more of a servent, and sometimes a missonary.

I tend to empty my humanure buckets on Sundays. To me, it's more rewarding than going to church and takes a lot less time.

But the idea of a humanure church, as a spoof, is one that I have toyed around with. One sure way to get national publicity is to have a "Humanure Retreat," complete with speeches and costumes (I'm envisioning hats that look like a turd), music fit for the occasion (new, humanurial lyrics to old songs), revelry, etc. The "First Convocation of the Humanure Heads." I can see passing around a bucket for donations. Anybody got any ideas? Let's brainstorm this! Who knows, I may sponsor something like this one of these days, if someone else doesn't do it first!

in the beginning was the turd. and the turd became flushed. and god said, it is not right to flush the turd. i will make for them leaves and straw and they shall form it into a compost pile, and the earth sprang forth flowers and fruits, and vines and vegetables, and all therein multiplied abundantly, and god said, humanure is good.....
