CCA lumber is full of cancer-causing chemicals and should be avoided for all purposes. ACQ lumber is more benign, without the arsenic and chromium, but the copper may have an adverse impact on your compost. You can try it (if you have it and not CCA) and let us know...

Is the use of pressure treated wood in compost bin construction advised against? I'll have some posts & scraps leftover from home renovation and will be building a bin, but guessing that the chemicals in the wood might not be so good....
