If you hear 99 foot step followed by one Kthump,it's because one of those centipedes has broken one of its legs.

Interesting questions, Wawazat. I can't help with answers, sorry.

Wishing you compliments of the season.

I was looking for worms in my outdoor compost pile to use to start an indoor compost bin. My outdoor bin is about 5'x4' and the pile is 2' high around the sides and about 3' in the middle. I dug in near the bottom front. I found 1 worm (not even sure if it was a composting worm), 1 sowbug and a bunch of centipedes! Should I be concerned? Perhaps I should have been looking in the middle of the pile, towards the bottom for the worms but from a practical standpoint, that probably won't happen.
